SMB team's stronghold diffused Star Hotshots rally in the fourth quarter to get three straight wins and remains the only undefeated team in the PBA Commissioners Cup to date.

The Beermen is still in championship form as they steadily led Star Hotshots in the first three quarters. The fourth quarter was a different story as Star Hotshots rallied  behind their locals but still fell short. It's the only quarter that Star scored more than SMB.

Rhodes was the better import tonight as he scored 29 points and 10 rebounds on an 11/14 shooting. Tony Mitchel did not do bad himself scoring 22 points in the game but had fouled out late in the game.

The scores:

SAN MIGUEL 103 - Rhodes 29, Ross 19, Lassiter 16, Santos 13, Fajardo 10, Heruela 8, Cabagnot 6, Espinas 2, Semerad 0, De Ocampo 0.

STAR 97 - Mitchell 22, Sangalang 18, Lee 16, Maliksi 11, Barroca 10, Jalalon 9, Simon 7, Javier 2, Reavis 2, Ramos 0.

Quarterscores: 27-26, 48-42, 77-65, 103-97
