Dybala Hints At Juventus Departure

Paulo Dybala has admitted he cannot rule out this being his final season at Juventus. The striker is regarded as one of the most lethal forwards in Europe and his concession will have put Manchester United and Barcelona on alert as both clubs hold an interest in the 24-year-old.

Dybala admitted to France Football:

‘I can’t promise I will stay at Juventus forever,’ Dybala told France Football.

‘It doesn’t depend on me but I don’t even want to say that this will be my last season here.

‘I want to win everything now, football’s strange, you never really know what will happen in the future.

‘But right now I do not say to myself ‘this is my last year and I am leaving’, I think of the present and try to win everything.’

Dybala also admitted that he was affected by Juventus’ decision to sell Paul Pogba to Manchester United. The pair remain in regular contact and Dybala has suggested that he would welcome the chance to link back up with his former Juve teammate.

‘Pogba’s departure was a tough hit for me,’ said the Argentine.

‘He is a friend of mine, we were on very good terms on and off the pitch.’

No doubt the uncertainty around his future will cause concern among fans of the Bianconeri, with Dybala now established as one of club’s most important players.

The Argentina international has won the league and cup double in consecutive seasons at Juve, and the prolific striker has scored 12 goals in 15 appearances this season, though his form of late has tailed off with just two in his last seven.

Many have compared Dybala to compatriot Lionel Messi and whilst appreciative of the links, he is quick to lavish praise on the Barcelona talisman.

‘I’ve always admired Ronaldinho, but Leo is like Diego Maradona for our generation.

‘It’s an honour to play with him in the national team. He dragged us to the World Cup with his hat-trick against Ecuador and is a born leader,’ he added.

Dybala is clearly ambitious and it appears the Italian champions face a real struggle to retain the Scudetto this season with Napoli and Inter Milan ahead of Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

Failure domestically could yet make it even more difficult for the club to hold on to their key man.
