The Derby d’Italia looks set to be played on Monday March 9, after an agreement between the Italian Football Federation and Lega Serie A.
The league had been thrown into chaos in the wake of the Coronavirus rapidly spreading throughout the country.
The Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter was supposed to be held yesterday behind closed doors. However the match, along with four others, was postponed on Saturday afternoon.
A meeting between the clubs, the FIGC and the Lega Serie A was held this evening in order to resolve the fixture chaos.
It appears the postponed fixtures have been rearranged and La Gazzetta dello Sport believes that now the Derby d’Italia will be played on March 9 at 19:30 GMT.
The other postponed fixtures will now be played as follows:
Saturday 7 March
- Sampdoria-Verona
Sunday 8 March
- Udinese-Fiorentina
Monday 9 March
- Milan-Genoa
- Parma-SPAL
- Sassuolo-Brescia
Furthermore, this also means that the subsequent match days will all shift, with the penultimate weekend of games moving to midweek (12-14 May), in order to finish the season by May 24.
The 27th round now looks as follows:
Friday 13 March
- Verona-Naples
- Bologna-Juventus
Saturday 14 March
- Spal-Cagliari
- Genoa-Parma
- Turin-Udinese
Sunday 15 March
- Lecce-Milan
- Fiorentina-Brescia
- Atalanta-Lazio
- Inter-Sassuolo
- Rome-Sampdoria
Wednesday 18 March
- Atalanta-Sassuolo
