In a bit of a surprise Inter have sent fullback Cristian Ansaldi to Torino on a €4m two-year loan with an obligation to buy deal
Torino were in the market for a full-back after selling Davide Zappacosta to Chelsea for €25m move.
That Inter moved Ansaldi is surprising as new signing Joao Cancelo damaged ligaments in his right knee on international duty and could be out until Christmas. That injury and loan move leave Inter a little short at fullback until the January window.
“I want to give my best for Torino and for myself. I haven’t spoken to Sinisa Mihajlovic yet,” Ansaldi told Mediaset Premium before the contract was officially registered with the Lega Serie A this evening.
“It was my objective to stay at Inter, but now things have changed. I wanted to play more, but I had a lot of injury problems.
“The season began a different way to what I expected and I had to find a solution. It was the dream of all players to join a big club and I thank the Inter fans, who were always kind to me.
“Inter will certainly get back into the Champions League.”
