The Nerazzurri have put together a sun of six straight wins in Serie A, and have cut the gap to the top-three to only four points, despite the good run of form of Juventus, Roma and Napoli.
“When you’re playing catch-up, you know that your fate is in other people’s hands but I’m sure that if we keep winning we can close the gap further,” said Pioli.
“We must win as many matches as possible before then beating Roma and Napoli in the six-pointers.
“Every step is important for our progress and ambitions.
“I know that I coach a strong team with great players, who know how to sacrifice and have made themselves available to work in a certain way. That’s the attitude I’ve found and I always play to win.
“We’re aware of our abilities, we can enter games with determination knowing that if you have a great squad everything can be decisive.
“We have to be very wary of Pescara.
“They play nice football and have collected fewer points than they deserve.
“We can only secure the three points if we produce our usual standard of play, showing focus and determination.”
