Kondo To Valencia?

Reports out of Spain suggest that Cesare Prandelli and Valencia are interested in taking Geoffrey Kondogbia off Inter’s hands next month.

The Spanish side have had a miserable first half of the season, are are currently 17th in La Liga, picking up just two points in their last five games.

One of Valencia’s priorities in the January transfer window is to sign a defensive midfielder and according to Super Deporte, Geoffrey Kondogbia, who previously had a stint in Spain with Sevilla, is top of their list.

It just has not worked out for Kondo at Inter. He struggled under Roberto Mancini, fell out of favour under Frank de Boer, and Stefano Pioli does not seem to trust him either.

Kondogbia’s agent has said that he views Inter as just a stepping stone towards a bigger Club, so I am not sure what he makes of this potential deal. Not sure if going from one of the biggest three clubs in Italy for arguably the fourth biggest club in Spain in a step up?

But it is a step forward and if Kondo wants to resurrect his career, a January move is essential.
