Arsenal are keen to shake up their ranks once more this summer.
Arsenal could be tempted to attempt to strike a player-plus-cash deal for Alexander Isak this summer. The Gunners have been heavily linked with making a move for the Newcastle striker this summer, and they may be able to negotiate a deal which benefits all parties.

Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his forward ranks this summer, with numerous options – including Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen – being explored. However, the Gunners could look to pounce on Newcastle’s profit and sustainability situation to acquire the services of Isak.
The Magpies need to raise funds this summer to give them a chance to make any summer signings. Thus, the chance to welcome at least one new player to their ranks whilst raising funds via the sale of Isak could be an opportunity that is too good to turn down for Eddie Howe’s side.
Football Flame takes a look at four players who Arsenal could include in a player-plus-cash deal to reunite the Swedish international with Martin Odegaard – who spent a season on loan with Isak at Real Sociedad in 2019.
Kieran Tierney
Newcastle have been linked with Tierney previously, and the summer could present the ideal opportunity to secure his signature. Dan Burn has performed admirably for his boyhood side in left-back but the time may have arrived to upgrade on the ex-Brighton star and bring in an attacking-minded, experienced leader in the role.
Eddie Nketiah
With Isak potentially departing, the Magpies could push to sign a replacement as part of the deal. Nketiah’s time at Arsenal appears to be drawing to a conclusion having fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates, and his opportunities would be likely to decrease further if a striker does arrive this summer.
Reiss Nelson
With Miguel Almiron not exactly pulling up any trees at St James’ Park, Newcastle could capitalise on losing Isak by upgrading their options on the right. Nelson penned a bumper new deal with the Gunners last summer but has not been granted any regular opportunities since and is expected to leave the club as a result. The 24-year-old has an abundance of potential and could thrive under the right manager.
Emile Smith Rowe
Smith Rowe was among the stars linked to Newcastle after their Saudi takeover, and they could finally secure his signature this summer. Mikel Arteta has struggled to weave the England international into his plans so far this season and has thus been deemed surplus to requirements.
The versatile playmaker could be the ideal acquisition for the Magpies given that injuries have been a catalyst in their underwhelming season so far, so the chance to sign a player who can provide cover in numerous positions could prove enticing – albeit injury-prone himself.
