Real Madrid have reached a full agreement with Getafe for the transfer of Borja Mayoral, according to Mario Cortegana - a tier one source.
Los Blancos will receive €10m for the transfer of the Spanish striker. The 25-year-old will also sign a contract with Getafe until the summer of 2027.
If Mayoral departs it will limit Madrid's backup for Karim Benzema in that number 9 position to just Mariano Diaz.
Benzema's absence in the preseason El Clasico was obvious as Madrid missed a host of chances to lose and lost the game 1-0.
However, Florentino Perez will not be tempted to pull out the wallet unless Mariano leaves too.
