The four-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel, retired from Formula One after the 2022 season ended. The season-ender Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the last race in the 16 years of his motorsports career. Though he had announced his retirement way before the season even began, fans were devasted. Everyone in the grid was emotional, saying goodbye to the most humble driver of F1. Vettel also revealed his after-retirement plans, which did not include returning to F1 by any means. Seb just stated about spending time with family and friends and having peace. However, surprisingly, recent news emerged that Sebastian Vettel is all set to return back in the sport to his old team, Red Bull, to serve as a senior manager.

Red Bull’s current advisor, Helmut Marko, has revealed that Vettel is considering the role of senior manager with the team very soon in the future. In a recent interview, Helmut disclosed about their under-ceiling discussions with the retired Aston Martin drivers. Sadly, team Red Bull lost the four-time world champion back in 2015. But the staff could not fill the space in their heart that was left with Vettel’s exit.

Now, when Seb finally has left the sport, Red Bull’s head advisor has developed a space for Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull paddock. Helmut said, “If he [Sebastian Vettel] could get a topmost position in the management, it would appeal to him.”

Helmut further reckoned that Sebastian Vettel would indeed have the potential for the role. “And, he would definitely have the potential for it,” said Red Bull’s advisor. Though, it is not guaranteed that Sebastian Vettel will accept the offer just after he announced his retirement from the sport. But who knows, in the near future, he will develop an interest back in F1.

However, Vettel has clearly mentioned that he has no interest in remaining in the sport. He wants to create a new chapter out of the cockpits. Still, Helmut believes that with such an offer, he would certainly get tempted, not at present but at sometimes in the future. Vettel will definitely not have to drive the cars on the racing tracks. But, at least he can remain active in the paddock of the team he won four championships with.

In addition, it is not only Helmut Marko who feels Sebastian Vettel’s era is not over yet. There’s the seven-time world champion who is strongly opposing everyone who says Vettel will not return back in the sport. Lewis Hamilton, who is a very good friend of Seb, firmly believes that Sebastian Vettel will be returning back in F1. If not next year, then sure, after two years or three years. “Seb will return for sure,” said Hamilton recently in a Sebastian Vettel Goodbye show.
