This BJJ control gives more leverage to the jiu-jitsu fighter; in fact, he/she becomes extremely offensive. As a result, doing this ensures that his/her BJJ opponent is usually off balance, so he/she gains full access to many BJJ transitions finishing by sweeps or submissions.
