A welterweight bout is on tap for the UFC’s planned show on 1st August as Vincente Luque vs. Randy Brown has been agreed. Marcel Dorff tweeted that Brown had confirmed the news on his live Twitch stream.
The Brazilian, Luque, goes into the fight looking to build on a win stoppage victory in a war with Niko Price back at UFC 249. Prior to that Luque had a step up in competition against former two-time title challenger, Stephen Thompson, but lost via unanimous decision.
Brown is heads into the contest on the back of two wins over Bryan Barbarena and Warlley Alves and faces a step up in competition against Luque. Brown’s UFC record currently stands at 6-3 with his three defeats coming against Niko Price, Belal Muhammad and Michael Graves.
The event on August 1st is set to be headlined by Holly Holm vs. Irene Aldana at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada as broken by Brett Okamoto of ESPN earlier this month.
