The NBA is getting ready for the 2020-2021 season. After much fanfare that bookie resources kept reporting, we finally have some key dates on the NBA 2020-2021 season. Instead of initial plans to begin next year, we will be seeing the season begin just in time for the Christmas holidays. Let’s take a look at what we have so far.
NBA 2020-2021 Season
The NBA Draft will be this week. Preseason games are expected to be from December 11-19. The first half of the regular season will happen from December 22, opening night, to March 4, 2021. The All-Star break will be between March 5-10. Meanwhile, the second half of the regular season will be from March 11-May 16. The Play-In tournament will be from May 18-21, while the Playoffs will be from May 22-July 22.
Many sports betting software operators are already offering lines for the next season. We will get more details in the next few weeks. So far, this is the Opponent breakdown for each team. Teams will play three games against each Intraconference Opponent. All 5 teams from a division will play all 5 teams from another intraconference. Likewise, each team will play 2 games versus each intraconference opponent.
If you are learning how to become a local bookie, then you should keep track of the dates and the system on how teams will progress throughout the season. Especially when looking at what will happen for teams from certain ranks, as they would have to win a certain number of games before they even qualify for Play-in games prior to the playoffs. Right now we do not know if these dates will still change. What we know is that the league is determined to run the next season as smoothly they have even with the bubble.
