The biggest names in NASCAR are set to take to the dirt on Sunday, as the Food City Dirt Race changes the surface for the field. There is very little shared success on dirt among the field in this event, which will create plenty of intrigue heading into the race. When betting on this event, looking at the histories of the drivers on dirt in other racing organizations could be valuable, though betting this unique race will remain a challenge.

NASCAR Food City Dirt Race Sportsbook Promos
Multiple sportsbooks have promotions available to be used on the Food City Dirt Race. These offers have the potential to add some serious value for those betting on this race, which could come in handy on an unfamiliar track.
Caesars Sportsbook: First Bet Insurance Up To $1,100
There are multiple sportsbooks offering promotions on the upcoming Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Caesars Sportsbook is one such bookmaker, as they are offering new players first bet insurance worth up to $1,100. With that promo, bettors can place their first wager at Caesars on this race and get a free bet in the amount they wagered if it does not win, up to $1,100.
FanDuel Sportsbook: Risk-Free Bet Up To $1,000
FanDuel Sportsbook is offering a similar promotion that applies to the Food City Dirt Race. They have a risk-free first bet worth up to $1,000 available. With that offer, bettors can get site credit worth up to $1,000 if their bet to win the race does not come through and claim the checkered flag.
BetRivers: First Deposit Match Up To $250
Also, BetRivers is offering the ability to take advantage of a first deposit match worth up to $250. The site offers a 100% bonus on a bettor’s first deposit, and those additional funds can be used to bet on the upcoming NASCAR Bristol event. Using the house’s money to wager on a race makes it much easier to bet on longshots that bettors may not have otherwise risked their own funds on.
NASCAR Food City Dirt Race Odds
The favorite to win the Food City Dirt Race is Kyle Larson, who is a fixture at the top of odds boards ahead of NASCAR races. Larson crashed out of the last dirt Cup Series race he took part in, which makes him hard to evaluate here. But Joey Logano won the last Cup Series dirt race last year, and has a great shot to win this race along with drivers like Daniel Suarez and William Byron.
Driver | Odds |
Kyle Larson | +550 |
Christopher Bell | +800 |
Joey Logano | +900 |
Chase Elliott | +1000 |
William Byron | +1200 |
Chase Briscoe | +1200 |
Tyler Reddick | +1400 |
Martin Truex Jr. | +1400 |
Alex Bowman | +1400 |
Ryan Blaney | +1600 |
NASCAR Bristol History
The history of NASCAR at Bristol is an interesting one, and one that has not involved dirt in the past. The Cup Series has been running races at Bristol since 1961, but this is the second year of Cup Series racing on dirt there. The track was converted to dirt ahead of the 2021 edition of this race, after being run on a traditional surface for the 60 years prior.
As a result, it is difficult to evaluate how the drivers will fare during the race this time around. There is a minimal sample size to rely on, as Logano won last year’s race, but that is not enough dirt track success to say definitively that he will finish in first again. Instead, it could be worth looking at other drivers at longer prices to win a race on a surface that is not used regularly in the Cup Series.
NASCAR Dirt Race Prediction
There is no reason to take one of the favorites in the Food City Dirt Race, as it is set to be highly unpredictable, even by the normally unpredictable standards of NASCAR. At 20/1 odds, Daniel Suarez is worth taking a look at for this race, as he finished top-five here a year ago and comes with a much more favorable price than drivers like Logano and Larson. This bet could crash out immediately on the dirt, but this bet is a much better value than taking one of the names at the top of the odds list.
