India:  The top three in Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli will remain the same as T20I. One of KL Rahul or Shreyas Iyer is expected to be tried and given a long rope at number four. In the worldcup, KL Rahul took that spot and scored some decent runs so expect him in ahead of Shreyas Iyer.  In the absence of MS Dhoni, Rishabh Pant will be India’s keeper-batsman. The Indian team has shown a lot of faith in Rishabh Pant and he delivered in the last T20I so expect him to deliver the goods at 5. Mohammed Shami will be back in the team and is likely to play along with either of Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Navdeep Saini. Bhuvneshwar will get a nod ahead against Navdeep Saini in the initial games. Spin twins Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzi Chahal will be back in the squad. The X factor for this team would be Rohit Sharma as he is coming off from 5 hundred in the WorldCup and good runs in T20I. Kuldeep Yadav took 9 wickets in 3 matches last time when he played against them.

They will be boosted by the welcome of Universe Boss Chris Gayle who will be back in the opening slot along with Evin Lewis. The arrival of Gayle would solve the opening woes for the windies. Along with him, their most consistent batsman Shai Hope (who was left out of T20I) will be back in the squad at taking the No.3 spot following Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran. Roston Chase is an interesting inclusion in the squad, his inclusion would bring stability in the middle order. After that Captain and allrounder, Jason Holder would come in following Carlos Braithwaite. In the bowling department Cottrell, Thomas, and Kemar Roach would lead the pace attack. This team looks threating on paper but they are not able to deliver on a consistent basis which is hurting West Indies cricket. The X factor and the Dream11 player to watch out would be Shai Hope. He holds the team together and has a decent average against India.
