Alexander Zverev Win Second Madrid Open Title

World number six player Alexander Zverev of Germany won the Madrid Open tennis tournament title again after three years.

Zverev made a tremendous comeback after losing the first set against number nine Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the final, winning 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 to win his second trophy of the season. In his title journey, Zverev defeated three players in the top ten.

These included world number two Rafael Nadal, number four Dominic Thiem and number ten Beretini. Earlier, Zverev won the Mexico Open. Twenty-four-year-old Zverev’s second title in Madrid, before he became the champion here in 2018. Zverev won the Masters 1000 Trophy three years, which is the fourth title of his career.

In Madrid, this is his 15th win in 17 matches. They have lost just two matches here. This is the fourth consecutive Masters 1000 final played between players born in 1995 or later.
