Two managers who could replace Mikel Arteta at Arsenal

Mikel Arteta is already facing calls for his resignation after three consecutive defeats into the new Premier League season.

Opening day defeat against newly-promoted Brentford was quite embarrassing for the Gunners, as the Bees took advantage of the disorganized Arsenal side.

One week later, European Champions Chelsea comfortably grabbed all three points against Arsenal at the Emirates, piling up more pressure on Mikel Arteta.

After a 6-0 victory against championship side West Brom, Arsenal were themselves thrashed by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City last weekend at the Ethiad.

Arsenal fans are frustrated with the club’s poor result in recent weeks and are growing wary of Mikel Arteta’s ability to get the team back into winnings ways.

As per reports, the Arsenal board has given time to Arteta until October to turn things around at the club and should he be unsuccessful in doing so the Board will definitely look elsewhere to replace the Spaniard.

So who will be the contenders?

Antonio Conte

First up is Italian manager Antonio Conte. Conte is a hot name in the managerial market at the moment after he left Inter Milan due to financial disputes. The former Chelsea boss has a decent amount of experience as he has won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus. In 2016, he joined Chelsea and led them to a Premier League title in his first season as a Chelsea boss. Last season, he lead Inter Milan to their first Serie A titles in 11 years.

Conte is a name all the Arsenal fans want to see as the next Arsenal boss. There are rumours that Arsenal are already in contact with the Italian to Replace Mikel Arteta

Brendan Rodgers

The former Liverpool boss has been doing an excellent job with Leicester City. He guided them to a FA Cup last season by defeating Chelsea in the finals. He also won the FA Community Shield Cup after a 1-0 victory against the reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City. He led Liverpool to a runners-up position in the Premier League in the 2013–14 season before his dismissal in October 2015.

Hiring Brendan Rodgers to become the next Arsenal manager would be a tough task for Arsenal to complete. He is one of the impressive managers in English football right now, and Leicester won’t be agreeing to part ways with Rodgers easily.
