CHRIS WOAKES and Ollie Pope are out of the England team for the Fourth Test against India… with Moeen Ali and Sam Curran Recalled.
The Warwickshire all-rounder misses out with injury while Moeen's county form sees him called to add another bowling option with Ben Stokes nursing a niggle.
Stokes will play in the game and is set to bat at five, with Jos Buttler six and Moeen seven.
Curran will be thrilled to have only missed one match – having shone earlier in the series only to miss out when Woakes returned from injury and Stokes from his trial.
Meanwhile, Buttler will be handed the wicketkeeper's gloves, with Jonny Bairstow promoted to No4 in the line-up and playing as a specialist batsman.
The Yorkshireman was questionable for the game at the Ageas Bowl with a broken finger – but will play regardless.
Just yesterday, Bairstow had revealed he would fight to keep hold of his spot as wicketkeeper-batsman.
The Yorkshire star revealed: “I’d like to keep my spot as keeper because it’s gone well over the last 38 or 39 Tests since I’ve been doing it for England.
“You put so much hard work into keeping wicket over a long period. It would be like saying, ‘Do you want to give up your laptop and write everything by hand again?’"
As yet, it's unclear as to whether Bairstow is not keeping due to his finger – or as part of Trevor Bayliss' long-term plan to stabilise the batting line-up.
