BASTIAN Schweinsteiger scored on his emotional return to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
The 34-year-old German football icon played in his testimonial against current team Chicago Fire at a packed Allianz Arena.
He was officially inducted into Bayern's hall of fame on Monday before hitting the target in a 4-0 win in Munich.
Schweinsteiger smashed home David Alaba's cross in the second half against the MLS side he currently plays for.
He played a half for each team on Tuesday night with Serge Gnabry, Sandro Wagner and Arjen Robben scoring the other goals.
The midfielder made 500 appearances for Bayern, winning 22 major honours including the Champions League in 2013.
He won 121 caps for Germany and lifted the World Cup in 2014 in Brazil.
An emotional Schweinsteiger said to the crowd: "I am one of you – and I will always be one of you.
"My past belongs only to Bayern and no one else."
He added: "I enjoyed every second. It was an honour to play again. I had to score. I'm really happy."
