The weekend is over and time to take stock, yes Barcelona is yet to play in La Liga but we have enough to talk about already, the drama at the London Stadium is worth a conversation you must agree.

Death is certain and so are taxes, but one thing you can also bank on is a goal from arguably the best forward in football history, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese was on target again as Manchester United claimed a scrappy win at London Stadium against Westham but that was not the only talking point.

Ronaldo has now scored four times since rejoining Manchester United and beyond the goals, he has lifted the mood at Old Trafford and given confidence and belief to the club’s ambition for the new season, with him it’s upward and forward for the club.

United came back from behind to win the game, but Westham gave a good fight and took a first-half lead through a deflected effort from Benrahma who is having a blinding season so far.

But that wasn’t the end of it, Luke Shaw conceded a penalty at the death and after VAR review, it was awarded against United, there and then it felt like two points dropped already with David De Gea’s record standing against the Red Devils already.

…Then David Moyes, who was in search of a point against his former employers threw on Mark Noble, a proven penalty taker to settle the scores, Noble didn’t have a second of warm-up, just straight from the bench to the spot, you guessed the outcome right.

Westham lost as De Gea saved from Noble’s kick and are joint top, only behind Chelsea and Liverpool on goal difference.
