Ethan Nwaneri is a name that will go down into the Premier League record books as he became the youngest player to ever play in England’s top-flight as he made his debut for Arsenal last weekend.

The 15-year-old came on as a late substitute in the game against Brentford and got a couple of minutes to run around the field and get a taste of what top-flight action is like, despite the fact that he is still in school and taking classes like every other teenager in the country.

Some will have cited the move to play him as a ploy and a way for the Club to simply try and break the record, with Nwaneri hardly needing to come on when he did, although Mikel Arteta said he had a “gut feeling” about playing him. Indeed, many may have been placing bets on the sites here at SNOG safely and securely once they had learned about his inclusion in the squad and may have felt that they could have predicted that he would come on, although they may not have been able to predict the interest the teen has from other teams in the top-flight.

Indeed, a report by The Times has recently revealed that Manchester United are just one of the clubs that are rumoured to be interested in signing the young midfielder. According to the report, Manchester City are also monitoring the player and there are fears that the Gunners could lose him in the future.

It has been claimed that there has been a fight for his scholarship has been ongoing for a while and the move to give him his first professional minutes in the senior side was a move that the club had orchestrated in order to try and convince him to stay with the Hale End academy and eventually make it at the Emirates Stadium.

Of course, Nwaneri is his own man (boy), and he will have a huge decision to make at this early stage of his career about where to play football. It could be a big gamble for the boy and those that enjoy this particular pastime by playing at the EU casinos that accept UK players will not be feeling too envious of his position, as they will know how hard making a decision can be.

However, given how talented the lad is and how highly-rated and tipped he is to be as a midfield talent, it would not be a surprise if it were to be the first of many tough footballing decisions that come his way in a career that appears to have already started for him!

Arsenal are known for having a number of talented players to have made their move into the senior squad from the academy, therefore there is certainly the opportunity for Nwaneri to progress and make it, however there has been a precedent whereby a number of talented youngsters have opted to leave without kicking a ball and make it elsewhere.

Individuals such as Ismael Bennacer, Yunus Musah, and Donyell Malen have all made it elsewhere and are doing rather well for themselves, while the club also lost Omari Hutchinson to Chelsea after he failed to agree to a new deal to remain in north London.
