Bayern Munich forward Douglas Costa has agreed personal terms with Italian champions, Juventus, dealing a blow to Barcelona.
The Brazilian international could not get the normal playing time under Carlo Ancelotti last season, and as a result, he's been targeted by a host of clubs across Europe.
Barcelona appeared to be front-runners for Costa's signature with the club in need of reinforcements, and they were ready to offer €30m for the player.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 26-year-old has agreed terms with Italian giant Juventus for an annual salary of €5m including bonuses after meeting with general manager Beppe Marotta.
But as of now only an agreement with his club, Bayern remains, and while the Bundesliga champions want €50m for Costa, Juventus are ready to begin negotiations at around €35m, hoping that both clubs come to an agreement due to good relations between both clubs.
Costa who joined Bayern Munich from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of £21m in 2015 and had a fine debut season under former boss Pep Guardiola, which saw him score four goals and racked up ten assists in 27 league games.
