According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona director Raul Sanllehi has traveled to Brazil and is due to arrive in the country on Wednesday night. Sanllehi has been the "Brazil guy" in the Barcelona board, the man who they trust to bring in the good players from the land of samba.
The reports claim that Sanllehi is going to Brazil because of two players, Lucas Lima and Yerry Mina. Lucas Lima is the midfielder we spoke about yesterday, and Yerry Mina is the highly-rated defender.
The Colombian International is without a doubt currently the best center-back in South America, and there's been a deal in place between Barcelona and Palmeiras that would see Mina move to Spain after the World Cup next year for €8m.
According to the reports, the Barca board are having a different feeling about the defender now they think that Mina would be a great addition to Ernesto Valverde's squad right now, so Sanllehi traveled to Brazil to try and secure an immediate deal for Mina.
The Brazilian club will not oppose to Barca’s demands if the player is also willing to move earlier than agreed.
Palmeiras would allow Mina go this summer for a fee around €12m, sources revealed, and Barcelona are prepared to pay the amount.
