There is logic too--traditionally Google releases Android versions at the start of September with many security patches.
In Rogers’ parlance, the launch of “Q OS” (Android 10) will apply to all mobile Pixel brands owned by Google on Sept. 3.
“As we continue to build Android for everyone in the community, our brand should be as inclusive and accessible as possible,” Google said in a blog post.
Android 10 may also include support for foldable phones, making sure the interface works seamlessly between different screen shapes.
