UFC 221 was slated to be a celebration of all things Robert Whittaker .
However, the UFC middleweight champ was sidelined with a litany of injuries, meaning Yoel Romero was parachuted in to take on Luke Rockhold for the interim middleweight championship.
However, with the Cuban missing weight, now only Rockhold is eligible to win the interim belt.
If Rockhold wins he will surely get a shot at the real champion next and an opportunity for a second title run in the UFC.
