JJ Peterson never officially committed to Alabama, but the Crimson Tide were a leader for him at one point.
Pruitt later became the coach at Tennessee, where Peterson committed in early January.
According to SEC Country’s Blake Morgan , he’s also close with the Volunteers’ new defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer.
Alabama was the early leader for Peterson before Pruitt made his switch to Tennessee.
Peterson announced his commitment to Tennessee during the Army All-American Bowl in January.
