Syracuse basketball defeats Boston College 81-63: Brent Axe recap

The Syracuse University Basketball team, who have struggled to score all season, dropped 81 points on the Boston College Eagles on Wednesday night in a win at the Carrier Dome to improve to 14-6 (3-4).

All five Syracuse players who played significant minutes (Matthew Moyer left with an ankle injury) scored in double figures.

Battle had his jumper working against the Eagles but also flashed the skill that NBA scouts pay most attention to in his ability to drive to the hoop and split defenders for a basket.

That gives him a huge option now that he can drive it or make spot up jump shots that create room for (Frank) Howard and (Tyus) Battle."

While there will certainly be ACC games he'll need to be back in double-figures in shot attempts, it was an encouraging sign to see Brissett chose the "quality over quantity" route against BC.
