Remember when Texas vs. USC meant something?

The Southern Cal Trojans and Texas Longhorns meet tonight in Los Angeles for a 7:30 p.m. matchup that many predict will be a big victory for USC and quarterback Sam Darnold.

The Longhorns, led by a superman performance from quarterback Vince Young, upset the two-time defending champion Trojans in what most people consider the best national championship game ever at the 2006 Rose Bowl.

1 USC in the waning minute of the game, as Young ran to the corner of the endzone on fourth-and-5.

Tonight's game between the Longhorns and Trojans will be focused again on an outstanding quarterback, as USC's Darnold leads his team as an early-season Heisman Trophy favorite.

Texas coach Tom Herman is attempting to reverse the Longhorns' recent trials and get them back to their winning ways; after an opening day upset loss to Maryland, it could be quite a challenge.
