It's also the first time the Browns are opening a season starting a rookie quarterback since 2012 ... and Brandon Weeden.
But since the return in 1999, Weeden is the only rookie quarterback to start the season for the Browns -- until Deshone Kizer does so today.
His defense with the Los Angeles Rams last season led the NFL in total penalty yardage.
The book listed the main quarterbacks throwing to Britt during his career: Vince Young, Kerry Collins, Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Locker, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Austin Davis, Nick Foles, Case Keenum and Jared Goff.
Britt showed little in training camp, so we'll see if he makes the front office look good now that the games count.
