Stanford RB Bryce Love sets rushing career high in first half against Rice


The biggest question surrounding Stanford heading into this season was: How can the Cardinal succeed without relying on All-Pac-12 running back Christian McCaffrey?


In Stanford’s season opener against Rice in Sydney, Australia, running back Bryce Love showed that he’s capable of filling in those shoes as the primary option as the Cardinal rolled early.


In just the first half, Love set a career high on 11 carries for 176 yards and 1 touchdown.


His original career high was 129 yards last season against Notre Dame.
