Cowboys 'very concerned' about Anthony Hitchens' knee injury; LB to undergo MRI

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked if the fear is Hitchens tore his ACL.

Linebacker Sean Lee said the Cowboys will respond if necessary to a loss of Hitchens for significant time, but that he was praying for his teammate.

The Cowboys would likely turn to veteran Justin Durant and rookie Jaylon Smith if needed.

"This team has a good understanding of when a guy goes down you have to step up," tight end Jason Witten said.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens (59) is assisted by team medical staff after suffering an unknown injury in the first half of a preseason NFL football game against the Oakland Raiders on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, in Arlington, Texas.
