Microsoft Still in Talks With Sony to Implement Cross-Play

Although Sony Interactive Entertainment has already made it clear that allowing cross-play between Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is not in their plans, it seems that Microsoft believes a deal can be reached.

Recall that shortly after Microsoft announced the update Better Together for Minecraft, Sony revealed that it has no intentions of being part of this ecosystem that seeks to open cross-play between consoles.

According to Jim Ryan, head of sales and marketing for Sony, this decision is because it is the only way they can fulfill their responsibility to take care of the children, in addition, believe that doing so could bring some legal conflicts.

Psyonix, the makers of Rocket League, have also urged Sony to take appropriate steps so that its users of PS4 can play with those of other consoles.

Do you think it’s a matter of time before Sony caves in and allows PlayStation 4 to join the cross-play party between consoles?
