CAMDEN — Malik Monk aced the media interview portion of his Philadelphia 76ers audition Thursday afternoon.
The University of Kentucky freshman showed poise, confidence and a sense of humor when he met with reporters at the 76ers’ practice facility.
Monk wowed fans when he scored 47 points and sank 8 of 12 3-pointers as the Wildcats beat North Carolina 103-100 in December.
Current 76ers Joel Embiid, Simmons and Robert Covington also watched from the side.
Monk’s Kentucky teammate De’Aaron Fox, a 6-3 freshman point guard, is scheduled to visit the 76ers on Saturday.
