According to reports, Chelsea have been discussing with investment banks about acquiring a loan to assist in financing the construction of a new Stadium. Chelsea were granted permission in January this year to build a new 60,000 all-seater stadium at the current Stamford Bridge site.
The initial cost quoted for the construction of the Stadium Ground was £500 million. However, observers have stated that the amount is a conservative figure.

Club owner Roman Abramovich is an established multi billionaire but the club is not expecting him to foot the entire expenses in the construction of the new stadium Ground.
According to a report from Standard Sport in May, the club has engaged in talks with companies who are willing to pay for naming rights to provide more revenue generation.
Meanwhile, as part of the agreement, the club is insisting that the traditional and prestigious name Stamford Bridge is kept.
The construction for the new stadium ground will likely commence early in 2019.
