Rumors of Antonio Conte’s departure from Chelsea surfaced recently. However, Chelsea FC have debunked the rumors and have insisted that the Italian is happy and is having a swell time at Stamford Bridge.Antonio Conte who arrived at Chelsea before the commencement of the 2016/2017 Premier League season made a name for himself in England, as he helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title against all odds after a terrible 2015/2016 season before his arrival.

Speculations of Antonio Conte stalling over a new contract offer from Chelsea, due to tension between him and the Club chiefs have emerged recently. It is believed that Conte is not happy with the club’s lack of involvement in investing on players in the course of the summer transfer window so far.

The club have dismissed such speculations which they regarded as unfounded and sources at the club have revealed that business at the club is being conducted as usual. Although Chelsea emerged as Premier League champions and were also runners-up to Arsenal in the FA Cup, Conte, the fans and the club officials believe that there is a need for the club to reinforce and add more quality to the side ahead of their participation in the UCL, which they return to in the 2017/2018 season after missing out on the competition last season.

According to recent reports, Spanish international Diego Costa revealed that Antonio Conte had sent a text message informing him that he would not be part of his plans for the forthcoming season and that he could leave this summer. It is believed that the rumored disagreements between Antonio Conte and Chelsea’s hierarchy could result in the reduction of Costa’s value in the transfer market.

However, Conte is believed to have an excellent relationship With Michael Emenalo who is the technical director of the club, Roman Abramovich, and the board. The Italian joined Chelsea on a 3-year contract last July after ending his reign as the head coach of the Italian national team after two years in charge.

According to reports, Antonio Conte was named the first team head coach and not the manager. The role certifies his responsibilities on the training pitch rather than in transfer negotiations. Reports indicate that he has informed Michael Emenalo and director Marina Granovskia of his player interests in the transfer market, with the club certified to carry out the rest of the activities.

Antonio Conte had been linked with a move to Inter Milan before the recent appointment of Luciano Spalletti.
