Floyd Mayweather is already retired but he remains the talk of the Boxing world. When he from boxing he hurt the sports says boxing trainer Robert Garcia. For him, Mayweather's Fight before he retired is not really good. His lack of action hurts the boxing world but he gain so much fortune when he fight Pacquiao and Saul Chavez.
Both of those fight are lacked of action and excitement because he plays it safe and he reach it to 12 rounds. Mayweather don't have a punching power to knockdown both fighters. Because of that fights, most of the fans are dissapointed and now they are doubting to buy for the next PPV events.
“Floyd did so good in boxing. He made the most money any boxer ever made,” said Robert Garcia to Fighthype.com. “He made a lot of money, but somehow it could have hurt boxing a little, because with Mayweather, we never seen those fights that fans want to see when it comes to action and stuff like that. He might have hurt, especially with the pay-per-views and all that. It might have hurt boxing a little bit,” said Garcia.
Many people beleive that because of lacked of action, Mayweatehr choose to retire. He don't want to see his PPV to drop down badly. There are some speculation that he choose to fight a UFC fighter Conor McGregor because the boxing fans won't buy his fights in high numbers any longer.
Mcgregor is a UFC champion and he brings a huge PPV numbers every time he fights in UFC.
When Mayweather fought Pacquiao, there's a lot of people purchase the PPV and they are very dissapointed. Even the under card for the Mayweather-Pacquiao card looked like it had been thrown together without much thought in terms of trying to entertain the fans that had paid a ton of money. If the fans are still angry about that fight, then it’s not surprising that the PPV numbers haven’t been as good they once were.
