Klay Thompson Manifests Warriors Victory Against OKC, Marks 12 Three-Pointers in Stephen Curry’s Absence

Klay Thompson made a league-high 12 3-pointers on his way to scoring 42 points for the Golden State Warriors against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night in San Francisco. Jordan Poole contributed to the victory with a career-high 12 assists, and the Warriors won 141-114. The Golden State Warriors didn’t miss Stephen Curry’s offense.

Klay Thompson is just the second player in the history of the NBA to score at least 12 three-pointers in more than one game. He shot 12-for-16 from outside the arc. The NBA record for most three-pointers made in a game is held by Thompson, who had 14 in one contest.

Klay Thompson’s 12 three-point attempts contributed to Golden State’s improved team total of 26 three-pointers made out of 50 opportunities. They outscored the Thunder from beyond the arc by a score of 78-33, which contributed to the victory for the Warriors, which was their second win in a row.

Tre Mann contributed 18 points, Josh Giddey added 15, and both players had team highs in rebounds (7 assists) and steals (8) in the first of three games that were played in the Western Conference.
