Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq made the headlines today after he came up with an unexpected opinion on the ongoing row over the Asia Cup 2023.
For the unversed, Pakistan have already acquired the hosting rights for the Asia Cup Tournament which will be held in September later this year.
On the other side of the coin, Team India have expressed that they are unwilling to travel to Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup 2023 tournament due to a hostile relationship between the two nations.
Since India are not going to Pakistan to feature in the tournament, chances are high that the tournament might be shifted out of Pakistan for sure.
Some reckon that the United Arab Emirates is the right venue to host the Asia Cup tournament. Even in the last year, the Asia Cup was played in the Gulf nation.
Sri Lanka made it to the finals of the competition. They locked horns with the Pakistan cricket team in the final. Sri Lanka outsmart Pakistan and won their sixth Asia Cup trophy.

Former Pakistan all-rounder, Abdul Razzaq took the cricket fraternity by surprise after he came up with his views on the ongoing row over Asia Cup 2023.
Talking about the same, he said if the Asia Cup tournament is shifted to Dubai, it would be the ideal option. He said it would be good for the sport and for the players.
While speaking to Geo News, Razzzaq told, “It’s good for cricket. And for cricket promotion. India-Pakistan games only happen in ICC tournaments. If Asia Cup has been shifted to Dubai, then it’s best option. It’s good for cricket and cricketers,” he said.
Meanwhile, he further added, “It doesn’t happen like this. This has been on for years. If the two boards sit across the table and chat, it would be great. Both boards should solve this issue.”
Notably, Team India are the most-successful team in the history of the Asia Cup. In fact, the Men in Blue have won as many as seven titles in their journey.
