NBA Analyst Jalen Rose Feels Kevin Durant Would Regret Move From Warriors if Kyrie Irving Trade Materializes

When Kevin Durant said he was leaving the Golden State Warriors in the summer of 2019, the sports world was shocked. Three times in a row, he led them to the championship game, where they won twice, and he was named the Most Valuable Player each time. The Golden State Warriors were the best team in the league, and Durant was the best player on that team.

Even so, KD wanted to show that he could win championships in leagues other than the NBA. In Brooklyn, he worked with Kyrie Irving to help him reach this goal. Durant tore his Achilles tendon in his last game with the Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals.

He missed the start of the first season so he could focus on getting better. The next year, he led the Nets to the conference semifinals. In the first round of the playoffs the year before, the Celtics beat the Nets with a perfect 3-0 sweep.

Because of the choice, Kevin Durant’s career took a turn for the worse. Former player and current Analyst Jalen Rose reflected on the All-Star forward’s decisions and predicted that Kevin Durant would regret leaving the Warriors.

According to Talkin’ NBA this is what Jalen Rose had to say: “He probably won’t admit it now, but when he looks back on his career—and when you look back on your playing days, you always think about “What Ifs”—he’s going to regret leaving the Warriors. He will feel bad about what he did. That was the best thing that could have happened.

After two seasons of intense drama off the court involving Kyrie Irving, the Brooklyn Nets started to get better as a team. When Jacque Vaughn took over as coach, the team was off to a 2-6 start. This was the start of one of the most successful stretches in the team’s history.

Irving couldn’t come to an agreement with Brooklyn about a contract extension, so he asked to be able to send a trade request before the deadline. The Nets seem to have a long way to go before they reach their goal, and Irving was a big part of their chances of doing so.

Kevin Durant wanted to do well with the Brooklyn Nets, but things that happened off the court made that harder. During his time with the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant has done everything he could to help the team win. Durant has acted professionally in the controversies caused by Kyrie Irving’s departure and the front office’s poor handling of situations involving star players and the team’s culture.

Even though he has been hurt, Durant has made himself available every chance he gets and has kept playing like the superstar he has been in this league for many years. Kevin Durant has played in 129 professional basketball games in the two years since his first one. He has averaged 29.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.

Before the 2021–22 NBA season, when James Harden was still on the team, he was the first and only star player to sign a four-year contract extension. Kevin Durant asked to be traded last offseason because he thought the team didn’t have a culture that reflected their success.

After the Nets talked to him about his concerns and fixed them, KD decided not to go this route. Because Kyrie Irving wants to be traded, the team has to deal with yet another problem.

KD played well and worked hard while he was in Brooklyn, so it is safe to say that he was not to blame for the team’s failure. This means that KD was not to blame for the team’s failure.
