Kevin Durant Is Eliminated Once More by Charles Barkley, This Time From the Summit of the Greatest Players

Kevin Durant and Charles Barkley have been at odds with one another for some time now. Charles Barkley first suggested to KD on multiple occasions that he overcome Stephen Curry’s Warriors without any assistance from their teammates.

Chuck has remarked that the Slim Reaper has not been the “bus driver” of a championship team, despite the fact that the Slim Reaper does not treat Kevin Durant with the same hatred that he often does to any other player he is trying to target.

However, he just recently made a remark that could be interpreted as being a little bit insulting to the two-time Finals MVP, who is currently playing for the Brooklyn Nets after leaving the Warriors in 2019 after three consecutive Finals appearances and two championships.

The Warriors have made it to the NBA Finals for the past three years in a row, winning two championships each time.

“There’s Level to This SH*T,” Charles Barkley Said

The assertion that Kevin Durant is not a bus driver is challenged by Charles Barkley, who offers a third theory in support of his position.

In the most recent episode of the All the Smoke podcast, Charles Barkley, who won the Most Valuable Player award in 1993 and is widely regarded as one of the best forwards in NBA history, brought up Kevin Durant all by himself.

“There’s level to this sh*t,” Barkley said, referring to the table where basketball legends such as Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Isiah Thomas sit.

He stated that Durant hasn’t reached the level that enables him to sit at the same table as the guys described above while explaining the levels that set him apart from champions like KD.

He claimed that Durant hasn’t reached the level that allows him to sit at the same table as the guys described above. Stephen Curry arrived at that position after claiming victory in the 2021 tournament as well.

It can be argued that Sir Charles is right. Barkley’s claim that Kevin Durant is not as good as some of the greatest players in NBA history is not an exaggeration, despite the fact that those who follow the game and watch Inside the NBA may find it laughable that Barkley would make such a statement.

It makes perfect sense when you consider how difficult it was for Jordan to eventually overcome the obstacles posed by the Pistons and the Los Angeles Lakers in 1991 and how he finally succeeded in doing so. LeBron James’ victory in the 2016 NBA Finals over the 73-89 Warriors contributed to the series being considered one of the best in league history.

In order for Kevin Durant to win his two championships, he joined the Golden State Warriors organization. Moreover, despite receiving Finals MVP honours in both 2017 and 2018, neither of those victories will be remembered as FMVP honours earned by any other player.
