Virat Kohli has already stepped down as Royal Challengers Bangalore captain. The 32-year-old’s captaincy reign came to a close after the end of the IPL 2021 season in the UAE.
Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator. Under Kohli’s captaincy, RCB made it to the final only once in IPL 2016 season. They lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.
The majority of the fans wanted him to win a title as RCB captain in the 14th edition. However, that was to no avail. Virat Kohli will also step down as T20I captain.
Earlier, Kohli made himself very clear that he will resign as T20I captain post the T20I World Cup 2021. In fact, he is yet to win a major ICC trophy as a captain at the senior level.
The flamboyant cricketer will look to make the resources to better effect this time to win the first ICC title. Virat Kohli has stayed back in the Gulf nation to feature in the T20I World Cup.
Team India were engaged in two warm-up games ahead of their actual campaign. The Men in Blue will take on Pakistan in the Super 12 of the T20 World Cup on October 24, Sunday.

India defeated England by six wickets in the first warm-up game. After that, they locked horns with Australia in the second warm-up game at ICC Academy, Dubai.
Australia posted 152 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. The highlight of the game was witnessed when Virat Kohli helped Rahul Chahar get the better of Glenn Maxwell.
