Manchester United fans have their say on club’s transfers

After repeated begging and begging from Jose Mourinho, it won’t come as a surprise if Ed Woodward fulfills his transfer wishes in January. The Manchester United fans have had their say on who the club should buy and sell.

Manchester United fans would certainly have grown fed up with the club’s transfer activity in the recent months. The dead weight has not been cleaned up in a while whereas new players possessing good quality have not arrived on Jose Mourinho’s repeated requests, now which have turned into demands.

In a poll conducted by MEN, the fans were asked to vote for only two players that they would like to see leaving the Red Devils in January. It came as no surprise to see Alexis Sanchez top the list. The Chilean has scored only four times in the Premier League for the Red Devils and started only one of the last six matches amid Anthony Martial’s resurgence to form.

Chris Smalling is being tipped at second with 37.6% fans voting in favor of his departure whilst Antonio Valencia is a close third at nearly 36%. Marcos Rojo is another piece of an unsolved puzzle which is useless. After not even playing once under Mourinho in the Premier League this season, the faithful are okay with seeing him go as well.

Phil Jones is at 17.4% which is a slightly high figure and Matteo Darmian closes to the list with 7.5% of the votes coming his way.

Author’s Take

It comes as no surprise that the fans want to see Alexis Sanchez, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo head to the exit door. However, the fact that Antonio Valencia, Jones and Smalling are being selected shows the impatience which is in the heads of the Man United fans.
