Real Madrid icon lashes out on Jose Mourinho after Tottenham loss

Jose Mourinho seems to be caught up in the middle of a lot of issues and Real Madrid ex-chief Ramon Calderon thinks his time at Old Trafford is over.

Since the summer preseason, Jose Mourinho has been the bookies’ favorite to become the first Premier League manager sacked this season. Mourinho is under pressure after United lost two of their opening three games this Premier League.

Real Madrid’s ex-chief Ramon Caldron says it’s ‘a pity’ how Mourinho’s self-destructive behaviour is now eclipsing shelf after shelf of titles he has collected during his career.

Undeniably his track record speaks for itself, it’s the one of a winner and a very successful coach – and because of that he could have had the football world at his feet, in my opinion,” the former Real Madrid told.

“But it appears he’s obsessed with staining it with so many controversies and problems. And then he blames the world for everything when he loses. It’s a pity. His track record is very, very difficult to get and it’s something he is now staining continuously.

There are a lot of rumours about the links of Zinedine Zidane to Manchester United if Mourinho is sacked in the middle of the season. Asked about this new development Calderon said it’s tough for Zidane to repeat the same performance in Premier League.

“Zidane? He’s proven to be a very successful coach too. No other coach has won three Champions League’s in a row. I don’t know, they are different leagues, different competitions, different style of playing football, the Premier league is completely different to any other league and very different to the Spanish LaLiga.”

So, it seems Jose Mourinho is just one loss away from bidding farewell to the Red Devils and should it happen, we can se Zizou at Old Trafford.

Author’s Take:

Ramon Calderon is exactly on point that Mourinho is on the path of self-destruction. His 3rd-year syndrome looks to be back here again and in the worst of phase this time. His relationship with players and the board hasn’t been on track and this is leading to his downfall.
