Premier League Giants Chelsea are believed to be considering a move for Everton’s first-choice goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
According to Sky Sports, the English giants have been watching the Englishmen in his Premier League outings. It is said that now the Pensioners have developed their interest in England’s first-choice goalkeeper but it entirely depends upon how Thibaut Courtois’ deal goes that whether they will move for him or not.
Courtois has enjoyed four glorious years at Stamford Bridge since moving from Genk in 2011, winning two Premier League titles and the FA Cup, but is keen on a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Los Blancos have shown interest in Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper in last few years and now they are expected to finally replace Keylor Navas with Thibaut Courtois.
New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri hopes to talk to Courtois in personnel about whether he’s interested in staying at Stamford Bridge or not, but Sarri has already believed that Courtois will leave. The Pensioners have now prepared a list of shot-stoppers who can potentially replace Courtois at the Stamford Bridge.
Earlier this week, Sky Sport reported that the Pensioners have identified Leicester City star Kasper Schmeichel and Jack Butland as Courtois’ possible replacement, but Everton shot-stopper Jordan Pickford remains above both of them on Chelsea’s wishlist. It is said that Everton will resist Pickford from leaving the Goodison Park as they’ve just signed him last year from Sunderland for £30 Million.
