The Chelsea boss’ time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end, and with Antonio Conte looking towards the future, the Italian has been rejected by this superclub.
The Blues have struggled this season and after being humiliated by Barcelona in the Champions League, things have gone from bad to worse with Chelsea struggling to make the top four in the Premier League. That could mean that they will have no Champions League football next season and thus gives them an even harder job to bring in brand new stars to Stamford Bridge. However, this is all coming after a sensational debut season under Antonio Conte where they went on to win the Premier League in style.
However, this season has seen things change and Chelsea have not managed to cope up and adapt to the changes. The Blues lost the likes of Diego Costa, Juan Cuadrado, Nemanja Matic, John Terry and many others. But while they did bring in the likes of Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley, Antonio Rudiger, Emerson Palmieri, Olivier Giroud and many others, only a few have managed to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League.
Despite that Chelsea look towards the future and thus have shortlisted the likes of Carlo Ancelotti, Luis Enrique, Maurizzo Sarri, Unai Emery, Diego Simone and even Thomas Tuchel. But as Chelsea look towards the future, so does Antonio Conte and the Chelsea boss has offers overflowing. According to reports, PSG, Real Madrid, AC Milan and many other top European clubs are very interested in Conte’s services.
But with the Blues’ boss already revealing that he is homesick last year, the former Juventus manager would like to go back to Italy, it further adds. However, according to Italian news outlet Top Calcio, the 48-year-old offered his services to Juventus next summer. And with Massimiliano Allegri’s future in doubt, Antonio Conte would be a brilliant option.
However, the Serie A giants have turned down the former Italy national coach and are only looking to open talks with any replacement if Massimiliano Allegri leaves in the summer. The Juve boss has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Chelsea and even Manchester United in recent times, and could see his future at the Turin stadium come to an end soon.
Antonio Conte’s time in England may soon come to an end, but while the Chelsea boss has shown his skills and talents last season, this season has been his undoing. However, if by some miracle he does stay next season, the Italian boss will have to be at his best, given Roman Abrahimoic’s volatile nature.
