Arsenal legend Ian Wright is not happy with the performances of these young Manchester United attacking duo.
Manchester United have had a topsy-turvy season this year with some great performances and some let downs as Jose Mourinho himself has said that they should’ve been 10 points ahead at this stage but inconsistency has let them down. And now, Arsenal icon Ian Wright has said that Manchester United should take a decision on Anthony Martial and Marcus Rushford.
He reckons that Martial and Rushford should leave the club as they are not up to the mark.The Arsenal Legend says the pair must look for their departure as lack of game time is hindering their growth. They should look for a manager whose tactics suits their style of play.
On Sky Sports‘ daily show ‘The Debate’, Ian Wright went on to explain: “[Martial] has almost fallen off a cliff with Mourinho and if he had to let one of [Martial or Rashford] go it would probably be Martial. They should be thinking about it with everything that’s happening and the way United play.”
The duo was in hot form and have statistically enjoyed their best career campaigns so far, before Alexis Sanchez’ arrival in January. But they haven’t got many games in the recent time. Martial was on the bench in the historic win against Manchester City while Rashford made an eight-minute cameo appearance, and Wright would not be surprised if they exit the Red Devils in Upcoming Summer Transfer.
Therefore it would be interesting to see the future of these two young stars in the upcoming summer transfer.
