Having signed for Barcelona from Liverpool for a club record fee, Brazilian superstar Philippe Coutinho has finally spoken out on his most preferred position on the football pitch.
Since his arrival at the Camp Nou, Coutinho is yet to register a goal or an assist for the Catalonian unit, but Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has been playing the 25-year-old mainly on the wide right-hand side of the attack.
During his time at Liverpool, Coutinho was usually found in the center of the pitch and on the left-hand side which allowed him to cut inside and create chances for himself and his team-mates at Anfield. Under Jurgen Klopp, Coutinho was playing arguably the best football of his life and was the Reds’ talisman.
But after €150 million switch to the La Liga giants during the winter transfer window, Coutinho has decided to voice his opinion one month into his Barcelona career, to a Spanish media outlet. Coutinho will be ineligible for the Champions League as he has played in the competition with Liverpool last year.
Coutinho: "It's all different at Barcelona, and though I've played more times on the left, I'll adapt wherever. I don't care about the position, I'll play where the coach tells me." pic.twitter.com/BY9WJxDVJu

Coutinho Tells Us about His Preferred Position-
The Barcelona star has released an interview with TV8 in Spain where he spoke about his time at Barcelona so far, “I really want to score my first goal with Barcelona. I hope my first goal will come soon though I still don’t know how I will celebrate”, said Coutinho.
The attacking midfielder also added, “I’ve played the majority of games in my career on the left but I think I can play in every position. It really depends on the manager and the system he wants to use. I am ready to play in every position.”
Being a Liverpool fan, it’s quite clear to see that Coutinho is being used on the wrong side of the pitch by Valverde. He is a high-quality play-maker too, but with Andreas Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic and Lionel Messi dominating that aspect on the pitch, Valverde may have to use the Brazilian in a different position or Coutinho may have to adapt to playing on the right side of the field.
