Los Blancos are all set to sell their star midfielder to Manchester United in order to fund a move for Brazilian starlet Neymar.
Real Madrid sees Neymar as Ronaldo’s long-term replacement at the club, who is expected to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the campaign. Real Madrid needs to manage their bank accounts in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations. Spanish outlet Don Balon Reports that Real Madrid is planning to offload the player to either Manchester United, City or Paris Saint-Germain.
It is reported that even the sale of Gareth Bale won’t be enough for Los Blancos to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations. And that’s the reason why even Toni Kroos will be off-loaded. Club President Florentine Perez is expected to be working on a deal to offload the Sniper. The player has struggled for consistency since the beginning of this campaign.
Jose Mourinho is expected to be scouting the market for reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window and it is said Mourinho is a known admirer of the Sniper. The club is expected to buy a midfielder or two as the future of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera is uncertain at the club.
However, Don Balon reports that Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race to sign the player. Both City and Saint-Germain’s midfield options seem well stocked up. But if players like Kevin De Bruyne and Javier Pastore leave their respective club’s then both the sides will have to strengthen.
Real Madrid would reportedly offload Toni Kroos to Manchester United to fund bid for Neymar.

Kroos has been linked with a transfer move to Old Trafford for years. Even David Moyes recently revealed that the Red Devils were all set to sign the Sniper back in 2014, but the move fell through. “I wanted to bring Kroos to Manchester United, from Bayern,” Moyes said. “I thought his range of passing and his ability to play people in would have made him a top United player, maybe Scholes’ heir.”
Kroos has helped Real Madrid win the Champions League twice since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2014.
Kroos is known for his passing accuracy, technique, vision and his ability to set up goals, as well as his long shots and ball delivery from set-pieces. The German Sniper can play in several midfield positions, except his usual position he can play as a deep-lying playmaker, can also play on the flanks and can even play as a defensive midfielder. With United set to lose Marouane Fellaini, bringing in Toni Kroos would be an incredible upgrade over the Belgian international.
