Find Out, What Cristiano Ronaldo said to Lionel Messi after the match

Barcelona moved 14 points clear of Real Madrid in the La Liga, as Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi fired Barcelona past Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in a blazing Classico

A second-half Luis Suarez strike and Lionel Messi’s penalty, after Dani Carvajal was shown a red card for touching the ball, helped Barcelona move 14 points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga.

Barcelona now leads Atletico Madrid by nine points at the top of La Liga, while Real Madrid stays fourth. Zidane’s men were really impressive in the first half and were the favourites to win the match. But a suicidal second-half performance made it impossible for them to win.

Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, and Alexis Vidal registered their names on the scoresheet as Barcelona hammered Real Madrid 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo failed to make an impact.

It is said that the Real Madrid star talked with Messi on the pitch after the game. Now Spanish outlet Diario Gol is claiming that Ronaldo told his Argentine rival that Barcelona deserved their win. Real Madrid made a wonderful start to the game as Ronaldo targeted the goal many times in the match but failed to capitalize on any of the chances he received.

Diario Gol reports Ronaldo told Messi that Barcelona was the better side on the pitch today. It is reported that the Portuguese star has even told Messi that Madrid will not give up on the title hopes until it becomes mathematically impossible.

La Liga Is Over– that’s how it looks, although Valencia could move within eight points of Barcelona if they win on Saturday, but nobody believes that they will go on to win the league title. Sky Sports pundit and former Arsenal player Thierry Henry criticized Ronaldo after he missed a huge chance against Barcelona.

Thierry Henry said: “Early on he had a good chance. We don’t often see him missing the ball like he did. It’s a very interesting game, we were calling it the El Tactico so far, especially in midfield. I thought he was going to control it but how many times have we seen him connecting with the ball first touch and the ball ending up in the back of the net? Obviously, it didn’t.”

Author’s Take-

I personally feel that Barcelona are now favourites to lift the La Liga title after easing past Real Madrid. Zidane’s side should now fight for the second place. Los Blancos now sits 14 points behind their rivals Barcelona. Madrid started brightly today but Barcelona was the better team since the break.
