Ozil to reunite with Mourinho at Manchester United?

Arsenal star who is out of contract at the end of the season is set to join the Premier League rivals Manchester United.

According to Mirror Football, Mesut Ozil is telling his Arsenal teammates that he will sign for Manchester United if they make a bid for him.

Ozil will not sign a new contract with Gunners?

Mesut Ozil is in the final year of his contract with Arsenal. According to Mirror, he wants to join Manchester United. Ozil has played under Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho when he was playing for his former club Real Madrid.

Ozil is being linked with other clubs since the end of the last season because of the Arsenal’s failure to make a place for themselves in the Champions League.

There were also rumours about him that he may again join his former club Real Madrid, but according to the latest reports, he is willing to sign for Manchester United. The Red Devils’ fans will also be happy to welcome a player of his calibre.

Arsenal legend Robert Pires claimed this week that Ozil has been annoyed by the club’s failure to build a squad to challenge for major trophies.

Horse-racing legend and Gunners fan Tony McCoy has joined the criticism, claiming the Germany international does not deserve to wear the shirt.

Author’s Take:

Mirror isn’t a reliable source but plenty of sources have been reporting the rumours of Ozil’s departure and even Arsene Wenger looks ready to let him go in the next transfer window. This is a good news for Manchester United fans and they will always welcome a player like Mesut Ozil to Old Trafford. Arsenal will have to look for a potential replacement for him if he is gonna depart.
