Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen were being watched very closely at the Bernabeu by thousands, including Barcelona scouts.
As Real Madrid took on Tottenham, all eyes were on the home side except, Barcelona’s Sporting Director Robert Fernandez who was more interested in Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane. And while the match did end in a draw, both the crowd and Barcelona’s Sporting Director walked away with a smile.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Robert Fernandez was only there to watch both the English and the Danish international. And while Kane did not manage to get himself another goal, he certainly looked very dangerous up front, threatening Real Madrid’s back line on more than one occasion. However, it was Eriksen who impressed, pulling the strings and running the game from the middle of the park.
While Christian Eriksen would be a brilliant alternative to Philippe Coutinho, the Catalans also have their eyes on Harry Kane. The English international has been in sensational form scoring 11 goals in 11 appearances in all competitions, including 5 goals in just 3 Champions League games. Meanwhile, Eriksen has scored 3 and assisted a further 3 in the Premier League in so far.
The Danish international has been brilliant so far and both Kane and he are key players in Mauricio Pochettino’s system at White Hart Lane. The 25-year-old has been with Spurs since 2013, joining from Ajax, where he made 163 appearances scoring 32 goals and producing a further 65 assists for the Dutch club.
Christian Eriksen has now been directly involved in 28 goals in 33 games across all competitions in 2017.

Meanwhile, Kane has been at Tottenham since 2004 as a youth academy player and has become a key player since his standout 14/15 season where he went on to score 21 goals in just 34 appearances. He would be the perfect replacement for the aging Luis Suarez, and could easily match the Uruguayan when it comes to goals.
However, according to Bleacher Report, Barcelona is also keeping an eye on center back Davidson Sanchez and midfielder Dele Alli. While Sanchez has just arrived at the club and would be unlikely to move, Alli has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Both Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are key members of the Tottenham squad and as Mauricio Pochettino aims for the title this season, losing either player would be a massive blow. However, given that both players have already made their mark at the club, there is a chance that they may want to move on to another challenge. But with Real Madrid also in the race, things could get interesting.
